Dick is the patriarch of a six generation local Texas family. He is loved, cared and supported by 2 children, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He is a veteran of WWII where he served in the Pacific off the coast of Japan. He survived numerous battles, many kamikaze attacks, 2 of which were successful in striking his ship which caused massive damage and loss of many fellow crew mates and friends. After the war he returned to his Texas hometown where he farmed and began raising his family. He loves gardening, fishing, baseball and spending time with his family.
